Gun Escape Playstyles

Same gun, two tempers — pick one before lava picks for you.

This is not a character select

Gun Escape has no published hero roster. “Players” on this wiki means how you take the same pistol and shotgun into a 12-player server. You will still fire for knockback. You will still buy shove. The fork is patience versus throughput.

The two tempers that actually show up:

  • Timing mains — one shot, clean plant, skip bullseyes that look greedy.
  • Farm mains — longest finishable line, ignore style, cash Wins, buy once.

A third temper — pad trolls — exists because the server holds twelve people. That is not a playstyle we recommend. It is a reason to hop.

Deep comparison: timing vs farm.

Why playstyle matters with one gun

A shotgun in a timing hand clears lava. A shotgun in a panicked farm hand overshoots the lip and prints zero. The tier list cannot save a temper mismatch. Upgrade size has to match the line you can finish, which is the whole point of how to get Wins.

If you keep buying guns after every wipe, you are not a farm main. You are a shop main. Shop mains go broke.

Shared-world etiquette

Online here means shared pads, not a dungeon queue. Facts: max 12, free-to-play, no listed co-op objective. Practical rules:

  • Do not stand on someone else’s takeoff cube to “help.”
  • Do not fire at their avatar to “nudge” them. That is grief.
  • If the intro cubes are a mosh pit, change servers. The empty servers page is the hop checklist. Your Win rate will thank you.
  • Like-and-join is account-bound. You cannot share a gift with a friend. Each of you uses group rewards.

Timing main, short version

You would rather finish a short line than clip a long one. You flatten aim after every shop buy. You skip bullseyes when the plant is messy. You treat cracks as a stop sign. You read controls twice.

You will progress slower in screenshots and faster in actual checkpoints.

Farm main, short version

You pick the longest line you can currently complete. You ignore other avatars unless they body-block. You cash out, buy shotgun-class, test, extend. You do not live in the shop. You tick the progress checklist so sessions end on a print, not a tilt.

You will look greedy. You will also have the Wins.

Mixing tempers mid-run

The usual death: farm main brain in a lava corridor (spray) or timing main brain in an empty highway (over-aiming for style +1s that never come). Pick the temper at the start of the session, not at the lip. The beat levels page is written for both; it cannot choose for you in the moment.

Leaderboards and fame

We do not have an official public leaderboard dump. If the live HUD shows Wins or distance, treat it as a personal best, not a career. Do not buy scripts to forge it — the scripts hub found no dedicated listings, and a forged board is still a ban.

Helping a friend

Send them getting started, not your shotgun. Their pistol arc is not your arc. Meet on an empty server. Let them plant. Do not demo-fire from their cube.

Pick a temper. Finish a line. Then argue on the group wall.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for Gun Escape on Roblox.

Are there named characters?

Not in the public listing. Playstyles are tempers, not heroes.

Is this a co-op game?

Servers hold up to 12 players, but there is no listed co-op objective. Play it as a shared obby.

Which playstyle is better?

The one that finishes lines. Timing for lava, farm for shop. See timing vs farm.

Can I change playstyle later?

Every session. Do not change in the middle of a lava lip.
