Getting Started in Gun Escape
Fifteen minutes from a cold join to a knockback you can actually steer.
You are in the right game if…
The title bar says +1 Weapon Knockback Escape, the creator is +1 Speed Run Escape, and the first thing in your hand is a pistol, not a keyboard, a spider web, or a dumbbell. This wiki calls that experience Gun Escape. Place ID 124870480773380. Anything else is a clone.

Created 18 May 2026, updated 28 August 2026, a bit over 2.3 million visits, about 91 thousand favorites, roughly 95% likes. Free to play. Max 12 players per server.
Minute 0–2: gifts before hops
Do not sprint onto the first grass cube yet.
- Like the experience and join the creator group. The group rewards page is the only free-drop guide we can stand behind.
- Rejoin so the server notices.
- Skim the codes hub. If the table is still empty, you are not missing a secret string — we checked.
Gifts first, ego second. Incrementals punish people who skip the two-click boost and then call the shop expensive.
Minute 2–6: learn the fire button
Official lava-corridor art shows a green circle with a pistol icon and a hand cursor. That is your primary input. On PC it is a mouse click with the tool equipped. On mobile it is that HUD button. You are not here to hip-fire other players; you are here to throw yourself.
Stand on the first platform. Aim slightly down and forward, not straight at the horizon. Fire once. You should feel a shove and see a +1. If you shoot the sky, you stall and fall. If you shoot the block under your feet too hard, the tile cracks — official screenshots show impact stars on the grass. One crack is a warning. A second greedy shot is a reset.
Full input map: controls. Full physics: how to play.
Minute 6–10: three clean landings
Your only goal is three platforms in a row without resetting. Ignore cosmetics, trails, and anyone bouncing past you with a shotgun. Their arc is longer because their gun is heavier, not because they found a glitch.
Cues from official shots:
- Red dashed arcs show the intended flight line. Match that curve; do not fight it with jump spam.
- +1 labels mark a scored launch. No +1 means the shot did not count as progress.
- A bullseye on a stand is a bonus line, not the main path. Hit it when you can steer. Skip it when you are still falling off cube one.
If other avatars crowd the pad, wait. Twelve-player servers create traffic jams. You do not get extra Wins for launching through someone’s legs.
Minute 10–15: first purchase discipline
Wins are the shop currency the description names. Do not drip-buy pistol skins. Save until you can afford a shotgun-class gun — the official thumbnail of the smiling avatar on a wood-stock shotgun is the power spike the game wants you to feel. Details on starter weapons and the full tier list.
If the shop also sells speed, luck, or pets, ignore them until your arc consistently clears four cubes. Knockback quality beats a 2% luck sticker on a tutorial gun.
What “beat levels” means on day one
Levels are height and distance, not a named raid boss. The description: beat levels, go higher and farther, unlock stronger knockback. Your day-one boss is the first lava corridor. When the floor turns orange, stop spraying. One well-timed shot across a gap beats five panics. The beat levels page is the next read after you die there twice.
Mobile-specific first session
- Landscape. Always.
- Shrink other HUD if the fire button covers the next platform.
- Paste codes (when they exist) before you start hopping — see how to redeem.
- Do not enable shift-lock fantasies. This is not a PvP FPS.
Common first-session failures
| Mistake | Why it hurts | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Shooting the sky | No ground to convert recoil into a hop | Aim down-forward |
| Double-tapping a cracked tile | Platform breaks, you drop | One shot per pad |
| Buying the first shop row | Sidegrade, no arc change | Save for shotgun-class |
| Pasting Keyboard Escape codes | Wrong game | Codes hub |
| Chasing another player | Their shotgun is not your pistol | Play your arc |
After the first shotgun
The game opens up. You will overshoot pads you used to undershoot. Recalibrate with one practice shot on a safe cube before you enter lava. Then farm Wins on purpose using how to get Wins instead of treating every run as a highlight clip.
Tick the progress checklist when you finish this page so you do not redo minute 0 tomorrow.
You now know enough to play. The rest of the wiki is for the deaths you have not had yet.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for Gun Escape on Roblox.
What is the first thing I should buy?
A shotgun-class weapon that visibly changes your blast. Skip cosmetic trails until your arc is stable. See starter weapons.
Do I need Robux to start?
No. The game is free-to-play. Like-and-join gifts are the only starter boost we can confirm.
Why do platforms crack?
You are shooting or landing too hard on the same cube. Fire once, leave, land on the next pad.
Is this the Keyboard Escape wiki?
No. Different loop, different codes, different studio page. Place ID 124870480773380 only.
